as an American I hear ya and I cannot stand that either.... I hate it when I hear people, "Well I am .25 Irish, .25 Navajo Indian and a .25 of Italian." I always tell them, "WTF do You want, A focking Ribbon?" Its as if they are ashamed of the fact that they are American and rather let people know that all in all, they are a just a mutt.
