Volvo's heartbeat sensor
View this Thread in Original format

I just saw an ad for a Volvo that has a heartbeat sensor. I guess the electronic remote on your keys shows a little light if the car detects a heartbeat inside it - supposedly to protect you from people waiting to kill you from inside your car. I didn't know that even happened. :conf:

Thoughts?

That's actually useful if you live in a dangerous neighbourhood.

Rarely happens but the Swedes are always one step ahead when it comes to security :p

They should concentrate on improving the car security system in the first place. How else would a person sneak into the car without the owner's knowledge ?
