Because it's a piece of classical music you dolt. Samuel Barber is dead and the piece is probably in the public domain. Every dance version is a cover.

Yup...it's not copyrighted and Barber's dead so anyone can sample it without any sort of permission. I think it goes that after someone dies, they're work stays copyrighted for a certain amount of years...but he's long dead.

Anyone got any actual info on this? I heard something about money going to family or something but I'm probably wrong.

Yea I just looked it up...I guess all I can do is provide the info on copyrights. I don't know about the rest then...maybe Barber's heir allowed it. I'm blank. :conf:

barber doesn't do it for the money/propietory rights. barber is open-source. iz how he rollz

no he remixed orbits remake. and i think skip raiders - another day was the first to track to use the melody back in 99. though i could be wrong
