Ferry did first remix in 2004 ( if im not wrong )
after some time Tiesto arrived the same track .

??
Samuel Barber made the original Adagio For Strings as the "peak" part of a composition called String Quartet No. 1, Op. 11 back in 1936. More than anything else, Adagio For Strings has been used as a funeral music for politicians, presidents and other powerful persons over the years. The best known classical performances of the piece have been by Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (in the 1986 movie Platoon, d'oh!) and London Symphony Orchestra whose version has got a massive success as a digital download.

William Orbit "synthesized" the track in 1999, now titled as Barber's Adagio For Strings, and this one was also remixed by Ferry Corsten and ATB within the same year.

Before Tiësto came up with his take on the track in 2004, there were countless EDM remixes and remakes made and released by various artists.
