Just out of curiosity, I was wondering which mode you use your CDJ's and why.

I use mine in Vinyl mode (even though I don't scratch), cause I hate the way you can't stop the track by holding the platter.

Vinyl mode all the way..i even 4get mine have the CD mode until CDJ100s guys come play wit them..the reason being i don like scanning thru my tracks with a button n i like cueing in vinyly mode.
nchs09

Can you tell me what the purpose is for the stutter-start cue?

It stutters when it is paused, which is helpful for when you are setting the CUE point.
DJ Tee
stutter enables one to hear the cue point while adjusting, so it gives u a more accurate cue i think

i just happen to be quicker cueing with stutter-start...eliminates the need for quick-return features or any such things...its also a matter of personal preference. there are those who swear by vinyl mode and likewise those who swear by cdj mode...whatever works for you

CDJ mode, nothing much can happen then when someone touches the platter by accident ;)
