dj pockets was ok - i played there for the after school special (3hrs for $10) lol there was a really really ghetto one in flushing near 35th ave and the onramp where northern blvd goes towards corona...i think it was called mamouth. lol that place was horrible, we use to fight there so much it wasn't funny.
the afghan spot next to dj pockets was called mustangs cafe - $3.25 for a burger with fries and a small drink.
bbc on bell blvd is called slates now, yuppity like the slates in the city, owned by the same owner who ran the one that is on francis lewis blvd (still think it's there) next to powerhouse gym. |
LOL, DJ pockets was crappy though but close since Im 10 mins away. I used to go there a lot back in high school for the specials. But yea, that Ali Baba joint was afghani owned and then some Irani niggas bought it. I hear food is still good, but I havent gone. Im currently occupied with the Halal Food Cart on the corner of Horace Harding and Kissena Blvd. IS TIGHT. Every time I pass by, I see a huge line of college kids there waiting to get lunch. $5 includes main platter with soda. Check it out next time u niggas roll by. |

possibly. It is Rage's only east coast appearance and they haven't played in about 7 years so i expect even ppl who don't listen to that much hip-hop will come for them. and a lotta the hip hop acts dont frequent this area that much either. |
