(pics/videos) WMC 2007/Ultra +3Made-Event parties; A&B,AVB,Armada Night; & SVD @ 5th

WMC 2007 was coming up, so I decided to drive with my friend from NY to Miami to hit up Ultra & few Made-Event parties. We left tuesday afternoon and drove straight through to arrive in Miami next day (23hours or so...). I got pulled over by a state trooper somewhere in south carolina, but he only gave me a warning, so i was very lucky lol. Got to Miami in early afternoon, checked into a hotel in Downtown and went shopping :-). We left hotel after 8pm to meet-up with Sander van Doorn (it was a TranceAddict meet&greet). We got to talk to Sander, have a beer & take few pics. Later that night we hit up Sander van Doorn @ club 5th. He played a really nice long set ( i think it was like 5 hours).
On thursday, we hit up local attractions in Miami downtown/ & south beach. At night, it was time for made-event party; Above & Beyond & club BED. They played till 5am, and there was no surprise, they delivered! too bad, the management of BED did not allow them to finish the last song; they only played it half way through.
On Friday it was time to visit Armin van Buuren @ Pawn Shop from 4pm - 10pm.
Got to hear rober miles - children remix & filo & peri - Anthem
I really enjoyed his set, and I guess the highlight of the night was that Markus Schulz stopped in when Armin was playing.
On Saturday, it was time for Ultra Music Festival. I was dissapointed cause there was no set-times posted anywhere. They were giving the set-times once you were inside. I tried to plan my day, but was unable to do so cause i didn't know who was playing when. I went to Ultra around 6pm just to play it safe, and of course i missed Ferry's set LOL. I did get to hear Sander van Doorn's set & of course PVD who was closing. Also saw Rabbit in the Moon, and WTF was that ? i mean, i kind of liked the 1hour set, but that crapy show/performance he was doing on stage was just an absolute crap (IMO). i gotta post a video of that. Also, it rained like crazy from like 6pm to 9pm. Overall, Ultra was OK, NOT mind blowing. This was my first time, and i'm dissapointed. I expected a better stage design and more lasers/lights (there was only one laser on mainstage) from an event like Ultra. Oh, and VIP tickets? WTF was that lol ? DO NOT buy vip tickets for future Ultra events! it was sooo not worth it! waste of money!. they were also selling inside a vip-upgrade tickets for $170. i mean, WTF! the night ended at midnight, and.... it was time for Armada Night!!! Yeah!
went to Twilo around 1 at night, waited in-line for like over an hour (it was crazy!, there was even a bigger line to get to club Space), and once inside i caught last 45min. of Armin's set. Markus was next for like 2.5 hours. The last guy for the night was Rank1, and OMG did he deliver!! absolutely amazing trance set!
anyway... came back to hotel after 8am, got 3 hours of sleep, and drove back to NY.
overall, i think made-event parties were soooo much better than the Ultra festival. seriously, u better off spending about 45Euro, about $420 on a plane ticket & go see TranceEnergy. Spending $70-$80 or $200 on VIP ticket to Ultra, does NOT even come close to what you get at TE for 45Euro. (just my opinion)
Highlights of my trip were, of course, getting stopped by a state trooper (charger!), and meeting Sander van Doorn, Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz & guys from Above & Beyond.

3000?? I spent about 700 and I was there from Thurs nite till Monday morning and hit up 3,4 parties a day... |

Gotcha.. then again, I only ate twice, stayed with 6 people and took the bus and went to a lot of free pool parties |

for real....Between the parties and posting the reviews, pictures, and videos, where does he get the time to work to pay for this?!?!?!?!?!
