Anyone catch Mauro Picotto?

So I haven't been a huge Mauro Picotto fan for the last 4 or 5 years, but I happened to catch his set on the Electro/Techno stage @ Ultra and dude was dropping some really sick . Was anyone else there? Anyone go see him on Sunday night?
I'm curious if this is the kind of stuff that he is playing everywhere these days or if this was sort of an anomaly. The techno that he used to play always seemed pretty boring to me. |

He Destroyed Prive
twisted beats is the way i would describe it, he dropped some classics like Baguette, Bangkok and Hong Kong also.
Only problem, crowd bad turnout.
other than that, everything i expected and more.
Mauro's still got the evilness |

| Dam,this is one party I would have loved to go but was sooooo done after sunday school.Picotto can still throw it down like no other,now also throws some crazy minimal along with his usual self,I just cant imagine how he had that crowd @ Prive. |

there was about 50 die hard Mauro fans there, the rest were just hanging around
Prive really sucks ass
but he still destroyed it....
ive seen mauro 7-8 times and this set has gotta be up there |

I'm just really confused why he did this show there. Maybe it was last-minute and it was the only big venue left open?
Also confused why he posted on his forum that he wasn't going to be at the WMC this year due to private obligations. |

Hmmm... ended up going to the LMR party at Shine instead that night, but I was really tempted to hit up Prive.
Defnitely going to make a note to see Picotto next year though assuming he comes (since the likelihood of him playing in Colorado in the meantime is slim to none). |

| i went to this party because im a pretty big mauro fan as well and the last few times ive seen him at the guvernment in toronto have been very off and on so i figured id check him out at prive and he surely didnt disappoint. phenomenal set. defintiely not the venue ud expect to see him at but was happy to have the dj booth right there infront of u for great pics. i wish the s in the VIP booth next to him woulda left him the alone tho....every 5 min someone from the table was asking to take a pic with him. i mean a couple fine....but let the man do his job for sake. anyways, had a great time at this party..only ty thing was the fact that i paid $33 presale for my ticket and they were only charging 20 at the in door. |

| I am not a big fan of Minimal/Electro, but I used to listen to his italo trance in the late 1990s a lot, and really wanted to see him again! MAURO rocked the house! Awesome set and performance! |

Dam reading all these reviews makes me ing bitter lol.
Prive is definitly a venue not suited for the Lizard Man, i can only picture what it would have been if he got to spin in TWILO.:eek:
