do you guys like edm videos? i personally don't like waching them or avoid watching them because it messes up my imags and "vision" of the track and the ones that i've seen i never liked. this is hard to explain but when i listen to music, i imagine a an atmosphere, scenery or a color (in EVERY song i have listened to).
to explain it better, the track "Yilmaz Altanhan - eighties (ozgur can mix), whenever i think of that song or listen to it, i think of mountains and a lake. the color i associate it with is pale blue. or for another example, "svd - dark roast (svd remix)" i think of the color brown and orange. i doubt i have synthaesthesia but this happens all the time i hear some form of music.
so if i were to see a video for this track (i don't even know if there is a video to this track) and see some guy walking around the city or a buch of people dancing in a studio as a video, it changes my persepctive of the song a little bit.
hope this makes sense... but the point is in general, what is your opinion of edm videos?

Same here, I like to make my own picture of tracks I listen to.
For example, my vision of Sasha's Xpander consists of mostly green with a bit of white and it's full of high tech lines, tubes, flashes and such. :gsmile:

Pretty much same with me. I've never seen a music video that matches the picture created in my mind while listening to a certain track. The closest thing was mv for Papua New Guinea.

The EDM videos I've encountered have been pretty terrible...
Feels like some of them are an afterthought to the production of the track (which is a good thing, since more is focused on the music itself).
Not really into music videos of any kind, though. Then there's Scooter videos... :haha:

kind of reminds me of the safri duo video for the bongo song. years ago when one of my friends sent me the video i was annoyed about how stupid the video was.
i don't even bother watching them.

I've seen both good and bad EDM videos. I don't mind them though, it won't change how I feel about the track.
