Be careful with Mitsubishi's...I had a 2000 Eclipse and as much as I loved it, it had electrical problems after a while which I've heard is very common in Mitsu's
If you really want one, go for the lancer.
I have a Scion TC now which is love (it's toyota) but it's pretty pricey. If you want a good affordable Toyota go for the Corolla :)
(oh yeah & I stole the couch avatar from you a long time ago...thanks babes) :p |

heh who cares about electrical. id be more worried about the engine fires that are common to Mitsubishi's. ive seen like 20 or more at the junk yards just all burned up. probably more than that over the years. there is always a long line of them there. |

LOL damn I didn't know that but it makes sense because you tend to see a lot of the old body (90's) junked.
I can say they aren't reliable cars...reliability lies more with Toyota & Honda. |

do you know much about getting them serviced? like do i need to take it somewhere special for oil changes and stuff like that? i'm always unsure about kinda rare (well not rare, but you just don't see them a lot around here) foreign cars like that... Volvos, Audis, VW, Saab, etc... i always assume the service for those is a little different than the more popular brands.
not that it's a bad thing, persay.. i just like to know what i'm getting into. :) |
exactly why i got rid of my VW a few years back...
i bought my jetta brand new in 98 and by 04 it was dead... at about 80,000 miles it hit a wall and everything died on it and to get my fixed i had to go to the dealer b/c all the local places were bumed confused with the way VW's work...
i have a nissan now... its amazingly better and shocked with some of things nissan thinks of... they are sick.. |

bad idea, porsches arent made to run forever and the 944 is the worst of the bunch, why do you think it was almost affordable as a porsche? plus repalcement parts et al and redic. i knew i guy that did the same thing, said tires were 400 each| |

anyhow ya parts are a bit expensive but they are still reliable. and yes its a cheap porsche, perhaps the 3rd cheapest they have made. its still better than anyold mazda or civic. my neighbor has one.. he had it forever, loved it, decided to rip it apart and make it a racecar. |
