Just got back from the show...
What a night! G&D kept it moving all night.. Opener was a snooze except for a few songs but G&D came on at 12 and played an amazing 3 hour set... Song I can remember *hindered because of 4/20* are...
Trentemoller - Moan
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Waiting for
Markus Schulz - Without You Near
tons more.. but im not that good at ID'ing in the first place..
All and all a great night.. Met some cool people.. Cant wait to do it again for Junkie XL, Robbie Rivera, and RITM...

First off, Andy Hughes is not a "snooze", he is just not a trance/progressive DJ. He had a great set for all the bs he had to put up with. By BS I am talking about the sound guy underneath him the first half of his opener, trying to prepare for GnD's Hardware setup.
The sound system @ RnF sucks. I am not trying to be rude, but it is a terrible, tough system to work. VIP area was too crowded, but fun.
As for GnD, they had a good time. Dave's parents were actually there, and they were JAMMIN the whole night. (lol) Dave was working the mixer the best he could, while Josh was in front of the mac getting all the tracks set. The crowd was great, and that was the best night/crowd RnF has seen since it's been open.
Tracks heard:
-68 Beats - Replay The Night (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)
-Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Waiting For (Peter Gelderbloms Mix)
-Mark Knight & Dirty South Vs. The Police - Black Spot On The Sun
-Depeche Mode - Everything Counts (Oliver Huntemann & Stephan Bodzin Remix) *Dave Mashed it with an unknown in the beginning...
-Gabriel & Dresden - New Path (Original Mix/Jim Rivers Chosen Path Mix) (Dave Dresden Edit)
-Sultan & Ned Shepard - Together We Rise
-Monoroom - Memory Inc. Part 2 (Gui Boratto Mix)
-Juergens - Love It (Final Mix)
-Cosmic Gate - SHould have Known (Wippenberg remix)
-Andain - Beautiful Things (Gabriel & Dresden Un-plugged Mix)
-The Killers - Read My Mind (Gabriel & Dresden Mix)
-Gabriel & Dresden - Tracking Treasure Down (Wippenberg 131 Remix)
-Josh Gabriel - Summit
-Departure - Without you near (GnD remix)
-Jim Rivers - Moodswing
Great night. I do not know if they recorded it or not, but I will find out. And, if you haven't got the SF set from 4/13, most of what they played is on that mix.

Decent night. I agree that the sound system was rather terrible, especially with the main speaker on the dance floor blowing after about 45 mins of G&B on the decks; however, had it not blown, me dancing right next to where it was would have surely made me deaf for a couple days/forever lol. They played a bit too much 'cheese' for my liking, though they started to heat it up after 2 when most people were leaving, best tracks came then.
My Fav tracks of the night:
Trentemoller - Moan (kicking it off with that as I think track two set the stage nicely)
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By the Way remix
Cosmic Gate - Should have known |

No offense against Andy.. Im sure in the right atmosphere his set could be appreciated.. Im just stating that there was no one on the floor the entire time here was playing.. I was still outside
grooving to his set...
Sound system sucked.. Speaker blew.. Agreed that I would have been deaf if it didn't though..
Cosmic Gate - SHould have Known (Wippenberg remix)
Ahh.. Forgot about this.. Great song.. |

I think my favorite tune of the night was "as the rush comes" and the Red Hot Chili Pepper remix...tight!
>Infinite Trance...nice to meet you. |

Highlight was Dave dominating blunts behind the decks!
Proper show. Mixing was on point. Cool mix of G+D classics plus some new bangers. Def much dirtier and techier sound than I expected. Some nasty electro and even a techno track if I remember correctly. AWESOME effects work. The outro was flawless... working the delay in Abelton... awesome. Oh yeah, programming, just unbelivable. Started slower w/ and slowly built all night. They can really put together set. Anyways, what a night. |

on point mixing is the standard when a computer does it for you...
I used to love these guys when they were fresh, and although i still think they are both very cool people in person, their music is indeed not doing much these days. i would of went if i lived in orlando, but the days of driving more than 30 mins to see GnD are over |

| Eh, I didn't care for the Killer's remixes. Don't get me wrong, they were great songs, but not my type of music. Atmosphere of the club got me through those tracks :toocool: . |

| I had an awesome night last night. The sound was ok from upstairs, but I do remember the speaker downstairs blowing. I loved the new remixes of As The Rush Comes, Dangerous Power as well as the Killers and Red Hot Chili Peppers tunes. The crowd was def into the music. I have never seen R&F so packed. Plus Josh and Dave are nice guys. Can't wait till the next show in Otown.:happy2: |
