| I want to pair up one of these mixers with 2 CDJ200's. I know that the djm 400 is "meant" to go with the 200's, but I'm on a bit of a budget. Just curious to know if the Vestax holds up alright against the DJM 400 (considering it's $250 cheaper). |

being a vestax user due to my budget when i got my mixer, i would still say it does everything u would expect from a mixer and is fully reliable. with vestax, well the products i've used, wot u see is wot u get.
but yea, i would still prefer the djm |

| DJM 100%... they are considered standard mixers (the 800) in clubs due to their strength and reliability, as well as all the ability to get creative with the effects and what not... I luv my djm 400! |

Lol, just wrote this for someone else, should help you too.
I would highly reccomend getting the Vestax VMC-002. I have the Vestax VMC-004 which is the same mixer, but 4 channels. The quality of the mixer is fantastic for the price your paying. It doesn't have the bells and whistles like a built in FX box or anything, but that just means the money your putting into this mixer is for straight up quality. The knobs feel great, the sliders are smooth with just the right resistance. And my most favorite part of the mixer is the split cue, makes cueing a breeze.
If you plan on playing in a club environment, then I'd definately save up for the DJM400.. but if you're bedroom DJing or throwing small parties, there's nothing wrong with going for the VMC 002 and saving the $250. |

| How does the sound quality of the VMC compare to the DJM? I've heard the DJM 400 has very good sound quality, as do most Pioneer mixers, and Vestax does have decent sound quality (I have a Vestax PCV 275 for sale). |

| Thanks for the [mixed] replies ;) . Keep in mind though that this would be my first mixer (and also that most pioneer products are hideously overpriced in Europe, where I live). |

they are definitely overpriced when compared to other close competitors but iwouldnt say no if i had the money! had my mixer 2 years, sound quality is still great and hav no issues with the mixer. havent needed to replace the x-fader yet either.
whichever 1 u choose it will be a great choice. but for the price and quality vestax would be my choice... unless u r happy to throw ur money on the pio ;) |
