i'm not able to go to sleep without some music playing softly in the background
usually it's a few nice deep prog mixes or the progressive channel on digitally imported
anyone else like this? |

Although I have fell asleep in a club a couple of times, I can't usually fall asleep to EDM. Honestly, I prefer complete silence but sometimes I'll throw on Dark Side of the Moon or something similar to pass out to if I am in the mood. :) |

Yep! Hybridized.org ensures I get a peaceful night's sleep :)
That or I throw on an essential mix - Optimo's one is a goodun, Tom Novy's one was good too but the king of them was Cagedbaby from January last year - perfect chilled acid/house/tech/electro for snoozing to hehe
The best thing about listening to music when you sleep is if you wake up, you don't get pissed off cos you can't get back to sleep again, you just think "awesome, I love this tune!" - although that can have the adverse effects that I experienced when I woke up at the same point during a Jody Wisternoff mix 3 nights in a row. ing top tune though :D |

I can't have music playing when I try to sleep. My brain can't switch off if there's something for it to be analyzing. |

same here..without music i pretty much just lay there for 2hrs.. so i just make a 30minute playlist n set the Mac to go-standby as soon as the music finishes.
i've been like this for at least 5yrs. |

ever since i was a baby (according to my parents) i've been like this
i'm not able to sleep unless there's music playing or i'm passed out drunk :)
i can sleep without tunes, it just takes me a while to fall asleep
...music is a bigger part of my life than i thought |

| I'll throw on some ambient when I'm studying sometimes, but I sleep in silence. I don't want my speakers to be running all night, and then all day. |

| Can't fall asleep when there's sound. Only some ambient stuff like rain, thunderstorms, crickets... Though I fall asleep much faster if I listen to music before going to bed. |
