well, i wouldn't see it as a completely bad idea to rely more on ground game than striking against CroCop. i'd say it's not a wise choice to try and outstrike the man. taking it to the ground would give you an advantage if you're a proficient JJ technician, as CroCop's ground game is more defensive than anything else.
if he can take Mirko to the floor and sort of dominate him for at least 2 rounds, and survive the other one in any way, he can go to decision and win. |

true, a ground guy is more likely to catch mirko. But I am saying in order to get mirko on the gorund, you have to have an exchange with him. his sprawl is very nice, so staying out of reah then rushing in might get gonzaga in trouble. but if he can get in close for a few seconds, he has a chance of a judo throw er something.
and sinosic hasn't been burned into my mind yet. Im not sold on him yet! |

and poor mirko. I tell ya what, these big guns in mma better come into fights with a better game plan than, Ill do what I always do, cause there are counters to everything.
wow, I was about to put a little money on gonzaga just for some great odds, but never made it down there. oh well. Ill bet on rampage ;) |

that was ownage. Mirko droped his hands i guess thinking they guy couldnt kick that high and it was going to be more of a body shot and then bam.. kicked up side ya head. |
