I have seen the future, and it isn't pretty. (pg. 3)

Hell no. Uterine prolapse looks like a pink bag (almost the colour of Pepto) hanging outside the vagina. I've seen that before. Plus the vaginal canal and the urethra are totally separate (duh). Thing is with aging, everything down there migrates and atrophies. The skin loses it's turgor and fat, etc....

So it's really not that weird. I guess I just need more experience with old vag-j-j's.

Of course not. Whether it was a student (me) or a nurse with years of experience, it's never comforting for a patient to be catheterized.

But obviously that wasn't what my mentor actually said, I only said it that way for story telling purposes. :p

That's just how it is when you're learning to do a new skill in nursing. Either do it or don't...there can't be any hesitation. Confidence is vital. So yeah my teacher had to give me a little shove. ;)

Give me back my broken night
my mirrored room, my secret life
it's lonely here,
there's no one left to torture
Give me absolute control
over every living soul
And lie beside me, baby,
that's an order!
Give me crack and anal sex
Take the only tree that's left
and stuff it up the hole
in your culture
Give me back the Berlin wall
give me Stalin and St Paul
I've seen the future, brother:
it is murder.

Things are going to slide, slide in all directions
Won't be nothing
Nothing you can measure anymore
The blizzard, the blizzard of the world
has crossed the threshold
and it has overturned
the order of the soul
When they said REPENT REPENT
I wonder what they meant
When they said REPENT REPENT
I wonder what they meant
When they said REPENT REPENT
I wonder what they meant

You don't know me from the wind
you never will, you never did
I'm the little jew
who wrote the Bible
I've seen the nations rise and fall
I've heard their stories, heard them all
but love's the only engine of survival
Your servant here, he has been told
to say it clear, to say it cold:
It's over, it ain't going
any further
And now the wheels of heaven stop
you feel the devil's riding crop
Get ready for the future:
it is murder

Things are going to slide ...

There'll be the breaking of the ancient
western code
Your private life will suddenly explode
There'll be phantoms
There'll be fires on the road
and the white man dancing
You'll see a woman
hanging upside down
her features covered by her fallen gown
and all the lousy little poets
coming round
tryin' to sound like Charlie Manson
and the white man dancin'

Give me back the Berlin wall
Give me Stalin and St Paul
Give me Christ
or give me Hiroshima
Destroy another fetus now
We don't like children anyhow
I've seen the future, baby:
it is murder

Things are going to slide ...

When they said REPENT REPENT ...

to be perfectly honest, that's one of the few plastic surgeries i would consider having if i was like in my 30's and had a child and it left my vagina looking horrible.

it's a really sad thing when your husband is repulsed by your vagina.
narcism
but ppl over 30 dont have sex :nervous:

My best friend (also a nurse), got paid 500 bucks just to go for one night to this rich broad's house and care for her after her vaginal reconstruction surgery.

Except the rich broad I guess was expecting an old ugly nurse, not my hot young friend with fake boobs and a brain to go with it. So she sent her home and asked for another nurse, but paid her anyway for her trouble.

So basically she got paid 500 bucks to drive 20 minutes to the other end of town and back.

lol, gotchya. I was thinking that was how the conversation went, which I found to be funny. Like something you'd see in the movies, or on an episode of House.

LOL, well it sort of was. There was about 7 or 8 other students in the room along with my mentor and the charge nurse, all with their :wtf: faces on.

The whole scenario was pretty funny, my mentor had to get up on the bed to try and get the second one in. She was right in there, lol.

I do feel for the poor woman, she was an agitated person to begin with. But it was nice...one of the other students held her hand and comforted her the whole time.

How did that lucky woman get chosen to be the guinea pig? I've always wondered how that worked.

She didn't. She was a real client who actually needed to be catheterized due to urinary retention. We just got lucky in that it had to be done on a day were in the clinical setting.

Every situation we are in is real. We don't around in nursing school.

We practice our skills first on dummies in the lab at school. It's basically two big rooms with hospital beds and all the machines and . So we practice in there, and have to pass a critique before we're allowed to do it in the real world.
