Orbital's Guide to a pain-free myspace!

Requirements: Firefox and Adblock ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865 )
Optional, but worth it: Myspace toolbar ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2895 )

After you install Adblock make sure that you restart the browser.

1. download my custom list that i have for my computer ( http://www.orbital32.com/taspace/ )
-right click and save as "adblock.txt" to you computer

2. on firefox click on "TOOLS"---> "AD Block Plus"---->"preference"

3. select "adblock Options"---->"Import Filters"

4. Import my list.

5. restart firefox and login back in.

6. login here: http://home.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user

Please let me know if this does not work.

Ummm, what's the difference in those images you posted besides seeing the friends pics?
Orbital32
The first one is full of ads and junk. the second just has the basics, no "featured "movie" "comedy" etc...

If those ads have any Flash based ads they can slow down the computer as well.

edit: also the myspace toolbar addon is pretty sweet as well.

Wait a sec, am I missing something? I'm on Firefox (which I hate btw) and on myspace I do still see those ads. :(

Is it a preference I need to fix?

hey that's cool man. some people like IE too. whatever floats your boat. =]

...as for firefox, someone needs to write a wicked Greasemonkey script to transform TA to something a little more pleasing on the eyes. MySpace too while we're at it. ;] virb.com ftw!
