people that live in Montreal (as much as I like the city), think the damn world revolves around them and that everything in Mtl is so freakin perfect; that no other city can compare to it. You Selma have made a few comments that totally back up what I just said. It is that arrogance about ppl (not all) that live in Montreal. |

I'm not at all arrogant and don't think the world revolves around me... I'm not originally from MTL, I moved here 5 years ago and totally fell in love with this city..I lived everywhere, in almost every continent and I have NEVER felt 'home' untill I moved here. So therefore I do think that MTL is the best city in the world and that everything here is "freakin perfect". |

| I love both Toronto & Montreal. I have had the pleasure of spending a lot of time in both cities. They are both very different, and also have their pros and cons. There will always be people who say their city is better/worse than others, but you just need to form you own opnion about it. In the end, that's all that matters, whatever makes you happy. |

forget the boards for a minute here, i wish you could read some french and read our newspapers, Montreal is beaten up every single day for some good and bad reasons.
Actually people aren't that proud of Montreal (!!). |

There is more to life than glamour trannies and disco biscuits. There are many things in this sprawling cheese curd metropolis that are far from perfect.The homeless outnumber the pigeons and the other half of the island has funny heads and speaks a weird language... but it still beats knowing the words to God Save The Queen. I personally LOVE montreal, but wouldn't live there. People have their own personal reasons for choosing a city, and calling a city dull is ONLY based on personal opinion.
Living in NYC is the best choice for me, but also the WORST choice for others. I live here because it has EVERYTHING...if you cant find what you are looking for, you are doing something wrong! and because its the TOTAL and complete opposite of dull...ALWAYS soemthing to do, see, whatever. but, some people dont like the HUGE effect of nyc...its NOT very personal, etc, and would prefer something smaller like mtl or whatever.
So please, when you write your comments, write them as opinions, not as generalized statements as to not offend. |

I had a detailed discussion with Selma about her history of living in different cities and appreciating the lifestyle and atmosphere of Mtl over every other city she's lived in, including the Greater Toronto Area. I don't believe she's speaking out of her ass, in response to Jenn's and Brendan's points.

It isn't just on the boards that I was basing my comment from silly.. lol.. I know what you guys are like ;)
It is just something that I have noticed in the past and present.
It may be changing now, but you cannot blame me now for having that view since I have never seen it any different than that.
(plus I don't read french so I cannot read your papers :p)
