ill probly check him out one night

havent you heard? tijs is too cool to do a regular club gig anymore. Plus He cant bring in the dancing elephants, and juggling Polar Bears to a place like crobar. this place will be much better suited for the the dj formerly known as tiesto. expect the tracklist to be littered with new tracks from "elements of cheese" , of course the usual full tracklist from "just be," and assorted tiesto greatest hits remixes. my 13 year cousin is absolutely jacked for this "event".

the dj formaly known as tiesto rofllllll
thats a good one :stongue:
as for his new cd i listened to it yesterday and i like it
its not as good as in my memory but i feel its just as good as just be if not a lil better
and as for tiestos djing style now
when he was here in may i was blown away and decemeber he was good also
so i feel he is not as bad as he was like end of 03 threw 05 where he was whoreing all his productions and the same songs over and over and over again in all his gigs

his last few gigs in nyc have been pretty dope so i'll be at least one of the hammerstein joints.

the first two EoL gigs were 6 and 7.5 hours, which is also reassuring.

If Hammerstein has more ronn than corbar I will go. His last gig was friggin awesome, but the corwd was horrible. Haven't had a gerat Tijs gig since I came to nyc because of it. :( :whip:

if they organize this like a TIC event, it will be both floor and seats. if its just the floor, im not entirely sure. i think i saw a capacity of 5,000 in a prev. post, is that floor + seats or just floor?

i still think he is whoring his productions now just as much as before. and with EOL its only going to get worse. i mean i cant blame him for playing his own tunes, it would be insincere not to, but the "just be" album is now really old and he is still banging out tracks from that album as if it debuted yesterday. plus the album was never that good to begin with, and i think he put it out for commercial gain, or at least i hope that was his intention. the "dance4life" "and he's a pirate" tracks are some of most adbominable tracks of all time, im not being sarcastic, and he still cranks out those tracks too.

it used to be u went to a tiesto gig, he would play a mininum of 3 hours and maybe you heard 1-3 artist tracks, which is tolerable. now its nearly 4-8 tracks at almost every gig. thats just too much for my taste. plus the livesets/radiosets i have listened to of late lacks the flow and fluidity of sets past. his sets have a very nebulous feel to them and really just never seems to take on any coherent direction. maybe im offbase, or maybe just my musical tastes have changed so much i now notice things that bother me that didnt before. anyways, im anticipating the reviews.

For some interesting discourse on the state of tiesto check out this archived thread from the WMC07 subforum:

i wonder how this is gonna turn out, i wonder what the production is gonna be like considering its a tiesto concert and not a dj set....
