OMGWTFBBQ pt. 2!?!? July 19-22??

alright, so i had this massive idea brewing in my brain for the last few days.. if people remember last year RJT threw a decent sized MWTA gathering deemed the "OMGWTFBBQ" that went pretty well. i would like to expand upon this and throw an even bigger party and i'd like to get a show of hands of who would be interested to travel up to milwaukee and/or spin in JULY around the 19-22. i'd also like to hear some opinions or ideas about the event..
what we imagined is this:
- multiple days. nobody wants to drive/take a plane to the midwest for one day and leave. i'm thinking friday and saturday.
- TA DJs having their own slots at a decent venue(s). fortunately we have a little bit of pull with that so there won't be a problem with booking.
- One or two possible headliner djs.. no one huge by any means.. i've got a couple in mind but i haven't asked them about it yet.
- BBQ.
the benefits are obvious- everyone gets to meet up, have drinks, etc. talented TA DJs will get a chance to spin out in a new town. Free booze and multiple places to stay. open decks before and after the show. all you have to do is pay for the travel fees.
so pretty much we need to know who would be willing to travel up.. or at the very least, be about %50 certain that they can make it. otherwise i'll just drop the issue and i won't bother pursuing getting a night(s) booked or anything.
i need your guys' opinions on when in August (or late July) would be best for everyone, if multiple days sounds good, etc etc. anyone willing to spin should post a link to their mix in this thread. NO MONEY as far as i'm concerned.
finally i know it's not a whole lot of time to think about these things but the sooner we know who's interested, the better. i'd like to get a rough idea by this sunday.

| I'd definitely be down for it if it was in August. However, I have two large trips in September that I need to pay for so I don't think I'd be able to attend unless you guys want to pay for a sizable portion of my plane ticket. :p |

honestly dude you were one of the first persons i thought of.. perhaps we can work something out. i'm broke though. rob a bank or something.
RJT: well of course WE'RE not gonna pay them. that. if it ends up being at 434 for a night, we'll make brad pay them. |

But seriously - I don't think it's a good idea to offer up any kind of cash or work out any kind of deals with anyone.
s sake man, one of the headliners I KNOW you have in mind wouldn't take money if we offered it to him ;)
If people are coming up, it's best they come under the assumption they aren't going to get paid. |

Stop it, you're making me blush. 
I'd love to go though. I've got a plane ticket for Underworld in Denver and then a whole four day or so trip to LoveFest that are my main interest. If something happens and I come into some money or there's a way I can squeeze out the cash, you bet I'll be there. :)
Edit: I don't think anyone should expect to be paid anything....... except me for my flight. :p |
