| can't think of anything too painful, except stepping on a nail sticking out of a large piece of plywood...I dragged the whole sheet on my next step. Sucked pulling out, plus a tetanus shot late. or maybe when I splattered hot grease on my hand after cleaning a grill. 2nd and 1st deg burns only, but hurt like a mug for a few hours. |

as a kid was jumping bikes with my brothers You'd go barreling down this steep hill (as fast as a bmx bike would permit) to the back of a cemetery where you'd do a jump off this big dirt mound that must have been at least 8 ft high.
So this one time I didn't pull up hard enough on the handle bars and landed on my front wheel, smashed me nuts into the cross bar and left me cut the up. hurt like hell and my brothers were trying to hush me up so they wouldn't get in trouble. |

I was about 19, I had surgery and my mom swore on her life that after the surgery the Doctor hadn't prescribed any pain killers.
So I spent about 2 weeks recovering with pain, not being able to sleep, turns out she had misplaced the prescription..Lol.. :stongue: :stongue:
It's funny now, but not at the time |

i'd say having an ulcer in high school was probably the most excrutiating pain and discomfort i've ever had. ughh...
also, after my weekend binge with coke and glass, i had a severe potassium deficiency, i had to go to the ER and they put me on a potassium drip all day. anyway, the abdominal pains i was having from that were pretty bad too. felt like i was being stabbed in the stomach. the tears were just pouring out of my eyes, i couldn't stop myself from crying. i dont usually cry from physical pain, so it was definitely bad if i was crying.
let's see...when i first had my shoulder pain about 6 months ago. that was pretty bad too.
nothing too crazy...thankfully i've never broken any major bones or been in an accident or anything like that. |

| Biking accident about two years ago. Didn't break anything but I dragged on the asphalt for a while. Didn't feel anything at first because I was full of adrenaline. I just walked away like nothing had happened, and then I stopped because I noticed my clothes were all wet and realized that I was bleeding from everywhere :wtf: |

i'm surprised no one's said "READING THIS THREAD!!!LOL!!
i'd have to say being in labour for 3 days and then ripping 3D 5 times and getting stitched up for 30 minutes after pushing baby out, then getting a catheder rammed up there with my fresh stitches becuase i was too swollen to pee. I couldn't sit down for 3 weeks. so far i think that takes the cake for me. |

When I was 20 i had a bad motorcycle accident. I was cruising on the highway & traffic was only doing about 65-70 mph. I wanted to go faster so i used on-ramps to pass cars on the right. Then while using Roosevelt roads on ramp to pass people i had one last minivan to pass so i used the shoulder to pass him. I was doing about 100 mph at the time & when i merged from the shoulder onto the highway the handlebars of the bike turned left & I went strait down. I rolled on my side for about 1/4 mile. Was concious the whole time & then when i finally stopped rolling i was in the middle of the highway. I immediately jumped up & ran to the side of the highway since i assumed cars would be flying towards me. I was wrong since traffic came to a complete stand still & as traffic creaped up to me people were just staring at me like i was an alien. no one could believe that i could have lived let alone jump right up. I had severe road rash & 3rd degree burns on my arms, legs, chest & feet. Luckily not a single broken bone or internal injuries & my head never touched pavement. My palms were just about missing & my fingertips were hanging off.
Spent 4 days in the hospital & came home. But couldnt even use the remote control to change tv channels cause my hands were destroyed. The whole thing was extremely painful but the worst part of it was having my bandages changed 2wice a day & my wounds cleaned the same time also. They would have to wipe the old burn cream off & have new burn cream put on. Bandage changes took about 45 minutes too. So it was 45 minutes of the worst pain ever 2 times a day. I had a nurse come to the house during the day & my parents took over at night.
Its a miracle i lived let alone had no broken bones especially since i was not wearing a helmet. I just had on a t-shirt, jeans & airwalk shoes i didnt even tie the laces. |
