1.) Just because it's one of the few doesn't mean that it's good.
2.) Why do we even need one? We did just great before they existed, what can it bring to the table for the EDM scene? Has stuff such as DJ Mag's "be-all-end-all" poll positively or negatively affected EDM? |

well, there USED to be more, such as M8 and Dream which gave good competition, but they've always been biased. Why should we let a magazine tell us what is good or bad when we have 2 ears ourselves that can do the same job, and find a wider range of tracks. |

Since when did mixmag try and take itself seriously?
I wouldn't categorise it as a EDM mag, more like a 'clubbers' magazine. If you're 16 - 21 and enjoying the weekly nightlife in your UK hometown, then this is like a bible for the crazy ed up things you can do with your time.
I'd hardly take their tune recommendations seriously |
