CHEAT! Yeah thats a great way to get kicked out of school forever. Man you really have a positive outlook on things. Screw that! I want to pass on my own. I earn all my grades, even if they are f's. Yeah we are doing integrals with the lnx thing and u substitute. I just keep getting my rules mixed up. Somehow i will get through this crap one way or another. My make up test is next monday so i will be going to tutoring every day until then.

As much as it sucks, go through all of the problems for the specific chapters and really go over the review chapters.

Write out rules on a separate piece (or many pieces) of paper and refer to it religiously.

Math was a difficult subject for me. I had to deal with Calc 1, 2, and 3. Also made it through differential equations (I did bomb it one semester) and linear algebra.

My advise. Just work through all problems over and over. You will eventually pick up the patterns and understand the relationships.

I was and still am mathtarded, but I still made it through most with a B (excluding the F the first time I took DiffEQ).

i did that with calc 1 - example problems and review questions at the end of each chapter....over and over and over again...

calc was such a bitch, but my prof was even worse - multiple choice tests, with E) none of the above as an option....10 questions. miss more than 4? you fail!

the first test i ever failed in my life was calc 1. as i turned it in, i had picked "E" for like 3 of the problems and my professor looked at the bubble sheet and said, "whoa". i immediately turned around and ran out.

practice does make perfect tho....i ended up w/ a C in the class, and nearly aced the final [got like 14/16 on it].

if anything, just retake the class.

i retook calc 1 two years later [after taking calc2,3,4] and aced it - and it replaced my previous C and boosted my GPA a decent amount. i wish i had done that w/ other classes.

oh cheat. i love cheat.... cheating is easier in winter. i stick my cheat note (typed on 6 font on a tiny sheet of paper) in between the button of my wrist... has never failed me.. havent done it in a year and half... but i used to cheat all the time :D

somehow i cheated in highschool and i ended with a 2.2 gps :nervous:

gladly in college i got a 2.8 half ty half good.

oh man ... linear algebra ... i remember touching a piece of it in high school, and i was like wtf. how is this important in daily life? a whole bunch of variables mixed together and it made no sense to me, yet i just followed the book, and learned the easy stuff progressively. later, during college, when i started learning about computer graphics, and the way it uses linear algebra to produce transformations and translations, i had the wtf face. oh man linear algebra comes back knocking on the door.

get breast implants...studies show that they help those without basic math skills get further than those on the ittie bittie tittie commitee

Unless your prof says no graphing calculators allowed during exams. Only non programmable ones... or none at all.

Its better to learn that cheat. Snatcho... I am so ashamed of you.

I did that until the final day of high school senior finals. never got caught. A few slackers used to ask me to make them sheets for tests because they knew I was makin them AND MAKIN EM RIGHT ;D. it wasn't that I didn't care, but when the teacher gives us a test with 3 pages of 20 questions each, I sure as hell aint gonna memorize all that HISTORY/ENGLISH (fav. classes to cheat in). I'de do it when my grade hovered on the brink of the next lowest letter grade, and I knew I would fail the test.
