| dont know if i spelled the city correct , but does anyone on here live there. After i finish my degree here in louisiana i plan to move there to take the gia gemologist courses. Just curious if anyone can tell me what that city is like. |

| i dont live there but my sister lives in oceanside which is right next to it. its not a bad place to live. rent isnt too bad and its relatively close to la and san diego. |

I live in Del Mar area, as well as Downtown SD. Theres really not much in terms of the electronic scene as far as I know of, it is a good point however, far north enough so that the LA drive isn't a killer, and a half hour drive to downtown SD for those events.
if you need more descriptive info on the area I'll try to help, but I usually stick to encinitas and southward of that. |

LOL!!!! Carlsbad Caverns is not in Carlsbad, California! LOL! Carlsbad Caverns is in New Mexico.

| what is the average rent there. Where i live for a two room place its about 550-1000. I dont know what i will do about a job when i get there. I will have my b.a. degree when i move there , but im sure i can get on with a jewelry store working in sales or at the bench. I have been doing that for about 2 years now. |

i live in carlsbad, well im actually studying up in santa cruz currently.
but carlsbad is a great town. a tad bit expensive and overcrowded. but i hear the GemInstitute is an awesome place to study. its located right above the flower fields, and east of legoland.
youll like carlsbad if you can afford it. the only other downside is there is no local hangout besides the company stores, or downtown. the other mall went to s. |

| cool. I still have about a year and half left with my business degree then i will move to cali for my gemologist degree. I cant wait because half the classes i have taken in college i have not liked, but i know i will love gemology. |
