| Ok this is a dumb question but im going to ask it because im curious and dont know the answer and neither did my teacher. In earth science we are learning about all the planets and thier gravity fields and such. My question is where does gravity come from and what creates it? |

well gravity comes from.... think about einstein. anything that is on a flat surface... the object creates tension on the flat surave making it spiral down into the object creating the tention.
ehhhh i dont know how to best explain it :/ |

| i never said i was a scientist. I have never taken chemistry or physics so this is why i dont know much about this kind of thing. Now sit me down and lets talk some history or geography and i'm all over it.Oh yeah, floorfiller not all of us know everything like you smarta**. |

meh im ing wasted, its hard to type what i was thinking...
but let my try to explain it.. if i am wrong someone correct me :D
imagine a bowling bowl sits in the middle of your bed. if you put an object near the bowling bowl it will trickel down to the bowlingbowl because there is downward tension on the bed. supposedly to this theory, space works in the same way... the sun,a HUGE object creates tension on space making anything that is close to it (relativly close) is attracted to it... now if that object is in movment, it will continue to rotate around this object. if it is not in motion it will continure to drag towares the bigger object. |

basically speaking, everything that has mass [i.e. matter] has a gravitational pull to it. however, it is not until you get to something as massive as the planets do we notice/understand gravity.
while you yourself have a mass, it's miniscule compared to the planets/moons. this is why things don't "gravitate" towards you.
think of it this way, if your wang had the same density/mass of the Earth, you'd have women [and i guess gay men, really] flocking to you. |
