| 14) I too have been battling a cold all week and will have to cut down on my drinking this weekend. :( |

| I usually drink more when I'm sick, as the added alcohol seems to acts in a kind of "reinforcemental" type of role, aiding the body's immune system in its combat of the viral vermins.. |

As completely counterintuitive as that is, I just might try it. If alcohol kills brain cells surely it must kill colds, yes? |

| Yes. An added bonus is that you're really drunk so you don't feel as sick. So it's like, you get better, while at the same time feeling better. |

As I feel I'm just on the cusp of recovering from a touch of pharyngitis last week, I plan on drinking as much vodka as god allows me too tonight.

| I will share something else with you, only because I like you. I haven't drank as much as I have over the past year, like, ever. And, I also haven't been as not sick as I have over the past year, like, ever. I mean, I only got sick once over the past year, and it only lasted about 3 days. In '04 and '05, I would get sick maybe 3-4 times a year, and each time, I would have a lingering cough for 2-4 weeks AFTER I got better. It sucked. I did drink, but just not twice a week. Maybe, once or twice a month. Now, I am not necessarily condoning drinking - nor am I necessarily saying there is any type of causal connection whatsoever between the two conditions - but damn, do I like being not sick. |

I would call myself a "moderate" drinker... I mean,
a) I don't pass out at the club
b) I can still conduct myself and my activities in an orderly fashion (right??)
c) I don't puke anytime thereafter
d) I rarely ever have a hangover the next day
that sounds pretty moderate to me! |
