off, you leeching cunt. It's people like you who have made trance to what it is. |
Ok, i really don't like your tone. I didn't write my post to argue. wouldn't anyone of you do the same thing if he had the chance? Ok, explain why did people like me made trance to what it is? Listen, i don't have stores in Slovenia to constantly pourchase new tracks or compilations, neither i have the money. Sory if you consider yourself "higher" than me.
And by the way: finland(and southern part of europe probably has more trance events in one month than all the southern (balcanian) europe together in one year. So, my friend, you can't reproach me anything. Because of me a few more people listens to electronic music. I enjoy listening to trance as much as anyone else in this forum. |

If u dont want, nor can support the scene.
Just keep it to yourself, talking like that influences other people to think that its "ok" to download illegally.
10-15 years ago and so on, if u couldnt afford getting the music, you couldnt have it.. unless on some dodgy tapes from friends.. why should it be different now ? |

You probably understood me wrong there... The music i download i use to listen to in my car or if we have any private parties. You thought i sell it around and stuff? I don't have the time, nor the "customers". EVERYONE in Slovenia can freely download all the things they want, leggaly. Now, i am not saying that downloading is completely correct. But why not take advantage of the technology in hand to make life easyer. I mean, for example: your "request" not to download is similar to request to continue using a radio on cassets instead using a radio in mp3's. I hope you understand what i mean. |

By downloading your music you are taking away the profits from the artists and from the label, hence forcing them to flood the market with half-assed crap in hopes to sell at least something. We don't have too many stores in Finland either - but that really isn't an excuse of any kind since nowadays you can purchase pretty much everything online.
Save money to support the artists. You make it sound like we're all filthy rich because we can actually spend money on music... but we do have to work for it, you know. Not to mention your "I do it because it's easier this way"-mentality. I didn't think Slovenia would had been a fast food nation but I guess I was wrong.

This bit doesn't seem to make any sense at all. |

i am already downloading the stuff you mentioned. You will say maybe that i am too lazy or that i am not a real "trance addict", but, if i have a chance to get music by downloading it and not pourchasing it, why not take advantage of it? (only today i downloaded about 350 trance tracks) |

Very well put but please don't be so subtle & say what you mean next time ;)

Every one of us has the chance & we choose to support the musicians. If a few tracks are downloaded it probably wont hurt an international pop star too much but trance producers dont have that liberty. There's hundreds of trance mixsets available for free on this site. Try
searching or are you too lazy for that too? |

I insist on calling it "melodic trance". A melodic trance tune must not necessarily be perceieved as epic, just like it doesn't have to be perceived as uplifting.
And Ishkur's guide is a fantastic joke. :disbelief |
I don't think anyone really cares what it's called, so long as it's good. Taxonomy only leads to hierarchy, and in music, that's just silly, since it's all subjective anyway. |

Well, i put things like clothes, car and food and college costs in the first place. Spending my earnings for music will certainly come some time later. Do you think i don't want famous trance compilations at home? of course i do, but my money is hard earned too, and as i said i rather spend it on currently more important things. Ok, fast food nation... Our country just isn't that harsh in this area.
What i ment with the statement that you have more parties... well, you have better road connections, better infrastructure, more people admiring this kind of music... my country: bad infrastructure, noone wants to invest in parties, tolerance for this kind of events is very low. So basically the only thing that is left is to get music from somewhere and stay in touch with the scene. The alternative is to spend 50, 100, 150 euro to go on a party in other countries (lately i am fond of that).
Do not judge me, i do not mean any harm!:( :( |

You care, apparently. Otherwise you would have no interest in debating the issue. |
