Hmmm if you want to color do some lowlights in a darker color ,like one step down from your natural color ..and some highlights in one color lighter than your natural color. It'll all balance out. You can cut it in a choppy angeled style..who did I see recently on here who had it..Stace maybe? I don't remember. It'll look nice with your face shape. The lighter colors in your highlights would bring out your eye color.
You should PM or just as wiener, she was/is a hairdresser. She'd be able to give you some professional sexy tips. |

I think it would look good on you :)
As for colour... is it natural colour you have now, or dyed? |

| Myra: want a cheap color and cut? find the nearest local beauty school. they will do it cheap (relatively cheap compared to normal salons) and they do a pretty good job. they are normally the students that are almost done with the program and they have someone supervising them the whole time. |

ahhhhh, i've considered getting a short cut like some of those but i'm too scared that i'll look like a 12-year old boy! i don't know if i could ever bring myself to do it, even though it may look cute on me.
my natural color is a light golden brown, but i like the way darker hair looks on me so ive been dying it dark brown with a reddish tint for a while now.
i just have no idea what color highlights/lowlights would look good. i'm such a n00b when it comes to this stuff, lol. |

yeah i actually looked into that. foils/highlights/lowlights are between $31-$37 at the Aveda Institute... definitely more affordable than the $80 i paid a few years ago! |

yah! one of my exes was in beauty school and id go there sometimes cause it was DIRT cheap! now i just go to this fantastic sams and go to the same guy every time. im going to be coloring my hair for the first time ever in a week. going a little darker than my natural color. i love the color of my hair when its wet so im going to try to achieve that color. :) |

The only problem is, with your hair already dyed, it is likely that if you try to put highlights in, you will get a nasty brassy look.
I think you want to go with highlights...
I don't think you need to be worried about looking like a boy. You have a very feminine face. I don't suggest going as short as I have, but the pics I posted are a decent length, are fun and whispy, and wont take forever to grow out a little longer IF you don't like them. |
