It's not though...I go by the trends my hair dresser follows, she doesn't win awards for nothing!
Also, I didn't say to get fake looking color. :p
The point is just that a couple different colors instead of ONE shade lighter of highlights is where it's at. |

Kate Bosworth has hair roughly around the 2" below the shoulder and used to have some very nice straight bob-cut styles which I think would suit you as you've both got fine bones and kind of skinny :)
Took awhile but I found it.

Don't know about blonde though. |
