i think what you mean to say is if mark james wanted to pander to whiny forum members then he would bring out a big name trance producer. if mark james was smart then he would probably put some artists that have had good commercial success here in australia and people would recognise and maybe combine it with a big name brand like godskitchen. oh wait...
Fpcookie
good commercial success in australia?
obviously you didnt see rank1 a few years ago here.
and nothing against helstrip cos i like him heaps but last time he was here he played to about 100 people

the people whining on the forums are the punters that pay mark james' wage, if they are not happy they dont go to events and he doesnt get his $$$

no i meant to say if he was smart he would add more to the lineup. oh wait...

it seems hes on the ball afterall
Philby
im talking about bodyrox etc, not rank1 or thrillseekers
Fpcookie
if you have no problem with turning godskitchen into a house event then sure.
the posers have enough events to be seen at already
Philby
well i would be a bit dissapointed for sure. but i would probably more often choose an event based on what djs i like than what it is. i wouldnt normally go to slinky cause of the djs they have but i went last year cause of j00f. i would normally go to godskitchen cause of the djs they have but i guess i wont this year, it doesnt bother me too much but yeah it is a bit dissapointing.

at the end of the day its a business for him. if he thinks he can sell more tickets by combing more commercial house kinda artists with trance djs then thats his deal.

what percentage of people who were at armin do you think are active on internet forums? i dont think it would be very high. so i would think that they don't pay much of the bills at all really :)

true, i have no problem with house djs on the lineup, more people = better atmosphere. i just think gods should primarily be a trance event. it is after all one of the biggest trance icons.

ok so the solution is to turn gods into a white party and everyone will come :p
i agree, armin is the type of dj i think they should add to the lineup... one that can pull a big crowd

i guess im trying to say is if trance lovers on forums arent getting excited by a trance line up what chance does the average joe blow have?
taubs
I gonna be right out there and say that I think there will be a hard trance DJ. According to Scot Alert's myspace he is playing at Godskitchen on the house2hard stage (its a Cd series he and Dr Willis have been mixing, genrally it consists of a house Cd and Hard dance CD, so far they have been mixed by Nik Fish, DJ Wag and TyDi), furthermore according so St Luke's myspace, he to is also booked to play Godskitchen.

Who might they bring out?

Your average Joe Blow doesnt care, they just go to whatever is "cool" and advertised on nova and plastered on the walls at famous. (Which most Future parties, like Armin was)

Thing is guys, if you really want to see a certian international, and believe you could fill a room of people who would pay to see them, why not throw your own party and do it?

agree, but i still think the music lovers act as the shepards leading the sheep to alot of these events

they keep bringing the same acts cos they need the big names to pull the crowds. theres basically no big names that they can bring that they havnt brought out already. i think by adding rank 1 and thrillseekers they were trying to mix it up abit but without a big name, these 2 wont pull a big enough crowd.

acts like marco v, g&d, BT and schulz are guys that can pull a crowd and havnt been here in a little while. i dont see many other big names that would play a festival and havnt been here in the last year.

but yeah i get what you mean. imo they shouldnt have brought rank 1, they are way past their best. should have brought some new blood. someone like patterson, aly & fila, jonas steur, filo & peri, menno de jong, remy and roland, bronzwaer, super8 and tab etc etc etc

Bronzwaer, BT and Remy + Roland...
now that would be a sick lineup
