The thread about liking / dating older or younger people got me thinking...
What do you guys think that "maturity" consists of and how do you gauge a person's maturity level? |

maturity isn't always directly related to how many years you've been alive. it has more to do with the type of person you are, where you're at in your life, and what you've gone through to get there. |
i don't think you can really "measure" it though, beyond just getting to know a person and learning who they are. |

| i'd say maturity is a sum of your personal experience, abiity to behave and act rationally and your perspective on yourself and the rest of the world. |

Maturity is simply how you want people to behave: the more they do things you disapprove, the more "immature" you might think they are.
Being such a relative value, I fail to see any importance in it. I also tend to strongly disagree with the existence of any relation between maturity and age. |

| Maturity is knowing when you should and when you shouldn't laugh at a fart. |

| maturity is basically a rationale. not necessarily whats right or wrong but a "how would you react" or "what would you do" type of thing. you can be overall mature but still immature in specific areas. |
