i'll check it out. i'm an ambient fan.

edit

i like it, but imo it could do without some fx/samples; sometimes less is more.

I have to ask this and I hope I'm not offending your creativity... but is there a problem with the file format or mp3 compression? Or is that the way it's supposed to be.
If it is meant to be like that then I am definately not feeling it. But to me it sounds more like the data is corrupted.

Hmmm, wait there is something going on in the back ground... I think it's the file that's got a problem.

the distortion, fuzz, and droning are all intentional
;)

Eeeek, I goes I put my foot right in it lol! ;) I hope I didn't offend. This track isn't really for me then and I don't have the knowledge on the genre to offer any constructive criticism.

what software did you use? i've been thinking of producing sme ambient for some time now, but i am not sure what software is more appropriate for it.

lol this was entirely done with absynth, used through fruity loops :p
definitely not the best chocie, but ya know
it works :p
hopefully in the next few days i'll have 2 more cuts up. this song originally came to be for a video project my friend is working on, needed something atmosphereic, background stuff. and so the first half starts in a trainyard so i'ma be adding some fuxed samples of trains and to it, and extending the length to like 8 minutes. hopefully when i get that done, if the train doesn't sound that great, i'll have 2 versions, one thats what i imagined, and another that was used for his project
thanks for the comments everyone :)

Hey thats pretty good, I would sample between 1:15 and 1:45 and use that little melody to lead into something creative... something trancey... hehehe.

holler, link updated with the full version for my friend's project
its some 9 odd minutes long now, give a listen :)

Not sure why that would be a worse choice than any other Softsynth and DAW?

That said, I actually enjoyed the full version more than the original posting. It's not would I would choose to listen to but was a nice break from the usual stuff here.

Good job!
