Trust me, everyone is over-exaggerating with their complaints. The show was great. Yes, there was a long line. That is to be expected for 5000 people. I guessed the line was going to be one hour; it turned out to be about 30 minutes. Yes, there were lots of glow sticks there. There were lots of drugs there. I'm just wondering exactly what events you guys go to that you never see that. Yes there were gays there (disclaimer: I'm gay), but what you may not realize is that there were the exact same percentage of gay guys that are everywhere; it's just that last night there were, just more than usual, straight guys acting gay. And when people say "god now I'm def" what they mean is is that the sound system was ing awesome.

Tiesto was good, it was epic trance and not too much of the cheesy "pop" trance stuff. There was plenty of room to both get up close with the energy and also to hang back and be able to dance comfortably. The sound was awesome. I know that everyone has their favorite show ever, and last night was probably not it, but don't please don't become so jaded that you can't enjoy what last night was. It was what it was: Fun, with a 30 minute wait to get in.

Well, it didn't absolutely suck, but you can't deny the event didn't quite fit the hype that preceded it. Some people paid a lot of money to see a set that wasn't any longer than it would have been if he'd gone on at Midnight at Fever or something, that really isn't cool. As I said, I had a great time with my friends, but I was still disappointed when I realized that a HUUUGE DEAL was made out of something that, well... honestly wasn't all that different from any other show, it was just louder with a lot more people and a handful more drugs.

I still had a lot of fun, though. I just probably won't ever spend that much on a "special event" again, cause 3 hour main event in a nasty environment isn't all that special IMHO.

PS: I think Liquified stated that there were 3 times as many bathrooms as before, but I only saw three bathrooms... soooo if three times equals three, what was there before? :haha:

Regardless, I hope everyone managed to enjoy themselves in some way or another. It was an experience, and it got us out of the house on Friday night.

Heres what I think: Some people had a good time but overall there was a lot to be desired from this show/venue.

Tiesto did lack flow (it was also a very heavy/aggressive set and since Im all about pretty it was a bit hard on my senses) I felt like he played about half really good half whatever/not so good...but it was all spaced out so Id get in it then loose it hard (but I think if the heavier is your thing this might be all you).

The line was definitely longer than an hour. I was an hour for me and once I was in the line was further back then when I started in it)

Bathrooms---YUCK! No where to sit but yes a lot of room to dance (get your groove on yall!) There were lights on in the back of the venue which I thought killed a lot of the light elements (hard to get a good light show), clubs seem to be best for this. The visuals could really be viewed either way, really I think they would have just worked better with a different set).

Liquified step up or don't - Tiesto - sorry you had to deal with all that --I will be back to see your next show -- bring it! :)

Also a secent dj passed his cd out at the show if you want to chesk out something very prog trancey - nice flow - heres the info

I think you put it perfectly what the main problem with the night was. I had very high expectations, so even though I thought it was a great set and was a lot of fun, I still felt a little disappointment. It wasn't the 4+ hours. I even heard people in the line who were expecting live vocals and stuff too. The venue wasn't the best, there were annoying people and a lot of drugs too, but for me the worst part was it not living up to the hype.

As far as the set goes, I thought it was really good. Was it the best I've heard? No, it wasn't. He had a pretty good track selection. There were a few I was really looking forward to hearing that he didn't play that night. Besides that my only complaint is that it did seem to be a lot more aggressive set. I like more melodic breakdowns and stuff thrown in. I still think Tiesto did an excellent job though.

Are you on Crack??? Anyone that knows me, knows that I'm not a big trance fan and have always been very critical of Tiesto but on this night he killed it. He was mixing the entire time. the venue owned and there was a ton of space to dance and hang out with friends. Drugs???? There's always a lot of drugs at parties so what were you expecting, a Christian rave from Tastyworld? Not trying to whine but come on people, that party was the best show in Atlanta in the last six years and was right on the level of Ritm/S&D on April fools day 2000. A++++ night in my book and I'm so glad my little brother finally got a chance to come and see why I started doing all this in the first place over 8 years ago. Damn I hope Liquified gets there asses back there for a show sooner rather than later.:D :D :D :D

EXACTLY COREY!!! You know most of these people here will complain about anything just to complain. Nothing is EVER good enough...Whine about this, whine about that....You are exactly right. This was the best show I have seen in Atlanta since moving here...The crowd, the energy, the set, was amazing....So people were doing drugs...Who the cares? If everyone would quit running around bitching about what other people are doing, wearing, acting like, how Tiesto didn't play a song they like, the set wasn't long enough, blah blah blah, they may be able to shut up and enjoy it for what it was....You always look for the negative and you will always find it. You always look for the positive and you will always find it...Tis the story of life....The show was great, the venue, was great, and Tiesto played an awesome set...and if there is something you didn't like, in overlook it. Your bitchin about it is not going to change it anyway....Who knows how good a time you could have had if you weren't always looking for something negative!!

I think that was like hands down the best show of 07 and goes down in the books as one of the best of all time. The sets were awesome the energy in that place was insane just being in there sober you felt like you just did a ounce of coke. The sound system was nuts the only thing you can really complain about is the bathrooms and even then they are always going to be pack and ty thats what happens when you have 5000 people.

GREAT SHOW KICK ASS START FOR THE FALL SEASON LIQUIFIED !

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

BTW did anyone get a track list for ian james and did you guys record the sets because I would really like to have them.
Caution_BiPolar
I think y'all are getting a little too serious over a matter of opinions. I haven't seen but maybe one or two hints of people say they didn't have a good time, just some disappointment. It's human nature to be disappointed if you were looking forward to something that didn't happen. You could have the time of your life out there and still be disappointed that the set was short, the line was too long, the bathrooms sucked, etc. etc. Doesn't mean it was a bad time, but hey... maybe Liquified or whoever and whatever can view our comments and try to make it even better next time, right?

I can't say much on drugs cause I wasn't exactly straight myself, but I actually felt bad for some of the kids I saw. Some of them need to control themselves, but that isn't Liquified, the venue, or Tiesto's fault.
