I just went to a TM outlet and tried to buy the VIP and she told me there werent any. Now I see why. So now I'm stuck w/ the extra convenience fee on top of the reg. fee. :whip:
How the f*ck can they get away with that?

Yes, you are presented with different levels, but Ticketmaster will not let you purchase any tickets above $100... NOT YET!!! Once the $100 tickets are sold, than you can buy the $125, and so forth. Same thing with the GA tickets. |
that makes more sense... the last time it was at the LA Sports Arena for TIC, when you clicked on VIP, I remember the first day only it was $180. The next day, that disappeared and it was $200. Ticketmaster should have done that because its confusing as it is right now... |

Doing both what??? A TIC and an EOL??? This is so confusing!!! It seems like LA will be the only city that gets a TIC/combined EOL. I thought this was just EOL and not TIC... maybe the writer for that info/flyer got confused and thought TIC is when Tiesto plays solo and has special acts/vocals/light shows, etc... |

Im saying tiesto is touring two types of shows for his new cd - both called elements of life tour though. One is a 3 hour set and the other is a 6 hour set with the full show from jes and others.
I havnt heard back if this would be a 6 hour gig from the guy or not. The 6 hour thing is composed of different sets broken down to earth wind water fire tiesto classics and intro (if i remember correctly).
any word? |

They said it will be a 4 or 5 hour set I believe. Or it might have been 5 or 6. But it is an "In Concert" in LA. So you'll see the pyrotechnics and live performances. (Probably Jes) |

Ok now I understand what you're saying... The main EOL gigs are the 6 hours with all the full stuff like vocalists/lights/air,water,fire, etc all the themes. Those are the EOL World Tour gigs... The rest are small club/smaller events and those venues that are meant to support the EOL album. Those smaller events are like the big EOL gigs which are obviously longer and obviously, LA is an EOL gig. It SHOULD have said EOL world tour for this one but it says TIC/EOL which confuses the hell out of me as TIC was an older concept but maybe the promoters think that when Tiesto is alone, has the vocalists, lasers, etc it is called Tiesto in Concert. I believe this is a mistake and lots of the smaller promoters for South America made this mistake this year. Also, cities that haven't had Tiesto ever, or in ahwile mistakenly call a Tiesto event, "Tiesto in Concert"
In 2003, he did one in the Gelredome
In 2004, he did 3 (2 in Holland and 1 in Hasselt, Belgium)
In 2005, he did 4 in the USA
In 2006, it was abandoned... however he mentioned that the D4L concert was going to be LIKE TIC but it wasn't as it was called the Dance for Life Concert in the Gelredome for the supporters of this organization
2007 however, should NOT have a TIC anywhere... when Tiesto released the album, he mentioned he was to tour the world with some special EOL gigs in major cities/venues... Skopje, Madrid, the Gelredome in Holland, and most importantly, Los Angeles. This is an EOL gig but the smaller events are similar to these big scale gigs so to answer your question, yes it will be longer (I don't know how long to be exact) and will have the lights/visuals/themes/vocalists/guests
In 2005 for TIC, I remember people wanting an 8 hour set like Europe but it got watered down and was terrible here... the lighting booth wasn't the same and the reason why it was 4 hours was because someone mentioned there being a law in Los Angeles stating a performance couldn't exceed 4 hours or maybe it was the whole United States in general. This is why Miami and Los Angeles were strict 4 hour sets but Vegas was an exception since it fell on NYE. I don't understand that law or if its true or not because since then, artists have exceeded the 4 hour limit/law whatever it is.... |

Ok, thanks for clarrifying things up. I asked for SF and got a response. SF will NOT be a 6 hour gig TIC/EOL gig. Looks like LA is the whole shabang. In that case - count me in. Not a fan much of the 2-3 hour tiesto gigs, but when he is given longer sets, you hear more of what you want to hear. The setlists have been posted for the 6 hour special EOL gigs and they are pretty good - way better then the normal 3 hour shows.
It is odd how they sell tiesto saying tiesto live exclusive set and what not. How is it an exclusive set if its 3 hours and just tiesto? Isnt that just a normal dj set?
I recommend going to LA's 4-6 hour show (whatever it is) with the full performance than the bill graham one (2-3 hour and no tiesto performers). |

Well, I think it works like this: Las Vegas has no rules! :tongue3
Saw Tiesto there once at club ICE and he played from 3:30 to a little after 8 a.m.
LA has rules, lots of rules, and even the rules have rules...
I believe that any event held at the Sports Arena is considered a "concert" (same as Cher's beyond farewell tour, Britney Spears, whatever). The rules, as I understood them when researching why TIC-LA was only 4 hours in 2005, were that a "concert" could only be 4 hours in length.
Oh yeah, and Holland definitely has no rules! DJ's like Armin and Tiesto can have 6,8,12 hour sets, the sky seems the limit. Of course, they sell out 30,000 capacity venues with these DJ's in 2 hours or less and usually this happens for 2 nights in a row! If it didn't rain so much, I'd probably move there! :D |

I bought my ticket at Ritmo Latino and the bs services charges weren't as bad as before. The Service fee was only $10. My ticket total was $55 + $10 Service fee. That was $65 total. Groovetickets service fee changes depending on the event. For Tiesto in LA it's usually very high service fee.
:toothless |
My $100 VIP ticket purchased online through Ticketmaster.com came to $115.15 including all charges & fees. If they still charge the $10 service fee at the outlets, then it's probably not worth the extra cost of gas to drive to an outlet unless it's right next door. |
