yeah but there isn't really any real competition in that. I mean, the most respected work from Scott, in my eyes, is the very beat that got him famous in the industry - the beat he did for the Roots in "You Got Me." I love that track. But once Scott broke into the rap game after that, all his beats have been recycling the same old indian-style sounds.
Timbo, on the other hand, continuously changes his style and demonstrates quality and versatility in many of his tracks. He can bang it out with a saw synth like in my love, or with the piano in Ice Box. And he's a full producer - I mean he arranges everything from beats to the vocals and choruses! Scott .... well he's just a piano mannnn :) |
Yeah. Tim gets millions for his beats. Scott just gets a couple gra-a-and. ;) |

| The thing I like most about Timbaland-produced tracks is their variety. His sound has evolved over time, so still feels fresh. |

ing amazing producer and even though he's been around since my middle school days (loved him then too), he is still throwing out beats and sounds that just blow me away.

I hate to burst your (and others) bubble, but JT does not write his own beats. None of these pop stars do. JT does his own lyrics and is a very good dancer with an incredible stage performance. But his music and lyrics are kept simple and basic to keep the younges of fans into his music. After all, the more age groups that can relate to your music, the more LP's you sell. With JT's management, it's all about $$.
If JT did his own beats, and wrote some more intelligent lyrics, I think his music would sound a whole lot better than the last kiddie-elementary pop album he put out. |

yeah, and his style change has nothing to with the co-producer he hired?
ever head of him, yeah, his name is Danja. Danja is to timbo to what Scott Storch was to Dre for his 2001 album.
when everyone ripped off Tim's sound to the extent that it became ing boring Tim was yesterdays news, but alas, he found a new person to take under his wings and give him new ideas, now the question is, how much of these ghostproducers are doing the actual work? i heard that Storch did alot of the stuff on dre's 2001 album but everyone kept praising Dre. Everyone is praising Timbaland but danja who is instrumental of Tim getting his shine back is nowhere to be read about |

I like that he can maintain a fresh sound while still "sounding like a Timbaland track". He has a signature sound but it's still fresh IMO.

It's hard to say, with any producer really, but that doesn't change the fact that I like it. :) |

| The song “Time” featuring She Wants Revenge is my favorite actually. She Wants Revenge is sorta like an indie rock band I think. I’ve only heard of them recently. But the combination of the beat, and Timbo’s opening verse, followed by the rock lyrics/rockish sound with a hip hop beat is just mind blowing. |
