Timbaland Appreciation thread

holy .

ing amazing producer and even though he's been around since my middle school days (loved him then too), he is still throwing out beats and sounds that just blow me away. they are easy listening, yet comlex at the same time. his sound is so versatile, he's making an Outkast move like after Outkast's Aquemini album came out. Everything after that album made them a household name despite the fact that they were dirtier and ghetto-er and had been around for 12 years already.

u guys really should check out "Shock Value". just got it last night and it was the best $15 i've spent in a long time.

This is how I are

those are my favorite tracks so far.

anyway, sorry for not putting this in MD or whatever, but this is also more like a Timbo appreciation thread:D

word to that.

the track he produced for Omarian, called Ice Box is my favorite recent work from him. Sick beat with a haunting piano line.

respect and i still consider him a good producer, i just don't think he's that good atm, he has done his best stuff already. last good thing he did was "My Love", actually it's more like "Cry Me A River" tbh because if you took out the synths in "My Love" (and i heard from a lil birdy that Danja did the synths) the track would be nothing.

scott stortch. i saw him at a party in sobe, and he's an ugly little troll in a bugatti. lol

Ice Box is pretty good, i have that on an R&B cd i burned recently, but it's not even a pimple on timbo's new CD's ass. haha

seriously...
Silky Johnson
He did good work on Snoop's Blue Carpet Treatment. Yeah Timbo's always had dope beats. Too bad about that whole rip-off scandal though...lost some credibility there. Ah well.

Not to be repetitive since I already talked to you about this, but, gotta participate in a thread about Timbo. :)

Always liked him, and I like everything he's been putting out as of late (Timberlake, Furtado, etc. etc.) I have yet to pick up this album yet though, for some reason. I need it, I know it will be right down my alley.

And OMG Magoo is really on this album? Kick ass!

Timbaland = <3

yeah but there isn't really any real competition in that. I mean, the most respected work from Scott, in my eyes, is the very beat that got him famous in the industry - the beat he did for the Roots in "You Got Me." I love that track. But once Scott broke into the rap game after that, all his beats have been recycling the same old indian-style sounds.

Timbo, on the other hand, continuously changes his style and demonstrates quality and versatility in many of his tracks. He can bang it out with a saw synth like in my love, or with the piano in Ice Box. And he's a full producer - I mean he arranges everything from beats to the vocals and choruses! Scott .... well he's just a piano mannnn :)

yes, pretty weak stuff tbh, the only good track (Come Around) on was left out originally. thank god it was put on the UK release.
