What did it bring to the table in terms of game play?
It's one of the best games I've played in years, and by that I mean the most fun which is all I care about. However, I was still shooting monsters with guns. |

I think people are misunderstanding the intent of my original post, I was asking why this game in particular has become one of the #1 FPS of all time.
So saying, "I like Halo" is something I could have guessed based on its enormous popularity. My question is why do people like Halo so damn much?
The person who said the multi player rocks probably answered my question the best. |

as someone else pointed out elsewhere, it's because it's one of the very very few FPS console games that attracted casual gamers. Almost all others only appeal to a relatively small niche. |

The shelter in the game, whats the most important in the game. Without u never can beat it on harcore and insane. But name me 1 game in the history who has the same shelter options and the use of it. |
