Anjuna nights - someone has to pull this off!

Anjuna Nights showcase the talents of Anjuna artists like Above & Beyond, Mark Pledger, Super8 + Tab, David West and Stephen J Kroos

Would be amazing if this could happen. Not just one artist but all of them. Top djs in the world for trance at the moment. Would be probably the best showcase of trance artists in one event.

Prob no venue in SF that could afford the costs.

Maybe at a huge event like LoveFest or another massive here.

I been hinting to Taj about bringin Super8 & Tab. Can we get a vote here to see who would love to see these guys out in SF??????

Asking alot of people around, Anjunabeats label is a favorite right up there with Euphonic.

But I like this idea..

got my vote EASILY!

thing is all these young acts will be bigger and more pricey as the years come. Id say lets do something with it now - if it isnt too expensive already.

the euphonic thing is great with ronski and kyau and albert. anjunabeats would be just as good.

While I am sure TAs would love to see Super8 & Tab (Are they good DJs BTW? Not a fan of promoters booking an act based on production skills -- although I should keep my mouth shut since SvD was not really known as a DJ when he came to SF and hurt this whole city real bad last January lol) and they would attract a few diehard EDM fans from the area, they simply aren't known by that many people so if they were to be booked in SF I personally wouldn't rely on any more money than usual coming in out of the gig.

If a profit could be assured based on normal attendence and a few die hards and whoever pays the DJs is willing to take a risk, it might be worth it for future purposes.

Like, I mean, I'm a fan of taking a risk of a DJ that you think could be big early in his career just as he's getting exposure with the hope that he doesn't jump to some other agent/agency and when it comes time for him to play in your area again he'll remember who supported him the first time around.

The problem these days is that an up-and-coming DJ seems to jump around agencies as they move up the chain in popularity and with each agency they go to you have to be basically fight to get the DJ all over again in the case that another promoter shows interest. A DJs agent has become so key in being able to provide good PR...getting that DJ exposure. Have known some DJs who I thought were amazing but they just never had that manager and/or agent who could take him to the next level.

totally agree with you. I would love to see this happen, but even with massive PR, i dont see this working anywhere but SF. Though LA has the massive scene, the SF scene seems more into the trance scene in general - eating it all up.

I just had to bring this idea as a show to mind after seeing that as a booking option. i was like amazing producers all in one. yea, true point that producers who are great might not be so in the dj booth, but with the type of music they are known for - slow trance - mixing doesnt require much work and leaves much free play for messing around.

If there is something of the sort in the works, id be glad to help out and pitch as well.
