meh, it's a box with wires. It's not that big of a stretch...especially when it's on underpasses.
I'm not claiming that it DEFINITELY looked like a bomb, so it's not shocking that it only happened in one place ;) |

perhaps. heh. It's amusing...but if you saw some box with wires hanging from a bridge, with some symbol from a Russian game show on it, I doubt you'd be completely convinced that it was harmless, too. |

No. There is no excuse for the amount of idiotic panic this caused.
This is like old people suddenly becoming afraid of every post box around due to the possibility that somebody could be mailing a bomb, so they round up all the postmen and make them apologize for handling mail all day. |

they are just blowing smoke up the asses of the people who want them to apologize. The rest of us know it's all bull and they aren't really sorry, they just want to get the media and legislation off their backs. :p |

not quite, 'cuz handling mail is a normal part of their job, and something they have to do, unlike planting electronic devices around town. It's all been blown way out of proportion by both sides. Somebody did something that probably wasn't too bright, in retrospect, and some other people did something that probably wasn't too bright, in retrospect. |

| I saw a picture of the actual device and not just the illustration/design. They definitely looked like bombs. People had every reason to be freaked out. |

Exactly. They switched too fast from having too much fun to being far too polite. It's obvious they're being sarcastic about it, but I think it's also better that they went about it this way than with keeping up with the charade. I think that if they kept on doing what they'd originally been doing they would've earned a harsher punishment. |
