What is smart, anymore? Is the new competence to do whatever people tell you to do all the time and to never engage in activities which anyone, anywhere could ever view as being seditious? Why does this country seem to have some of the most fearful and irrational people on the planet yet truly faces no immediate threat from nearby nations? More so, when did this irrational fear become acceptable and why does everyone need to walk on coals around those with an iota of legal power? Most importantly, however...
WHY THE CAN'T I STAND UP AND YELL "BOMB!" ON AN AIRPLANE??? |

| A friend of mine was designing his new office when he resigned. It was so weird. He didnt have any direct link to those stupid little things and he was the one to go. Boston is bull. I hope all those soccer moms that panicked are happy. |

Inconspicuous would probably sue me for a lot more than that - he's afraid of those sorts of publicity stunts. =/ |

:stongue:
Do you think they are genuinely sorry for what they did?
they are just blowing smoke up the asses of the people who want them to apologize. The rest of us know it's all bull and they aren't really sorry, they just want to get the media and legislation off their backs. :p |
Meh - I didn't think it was that over the top - and I do still think it was pretty of them, Time Warner, and the Chief Executive of CN to acknowledge any fault in the situation.
At the end of the day, a $2 million dollar settlement screams "Let's just get this over with" when in reality people should have been screaming "BOSTON WHY ARE YOU SO ING CRAZY?!?!"

I think that if they kept on doing what they'd originally been doing they would've earned a harsher punishment. |
No, they wouldn't have. There would be no punishment, period. That's the problem here.
They're apologizing, paying, and resigning for NO REASON. |
