i am sure a guy who beats down old people and steals their cars would not pack a gun, because he is too to have it dragging on his balls, if he does have any.
anyways, i catch shows like nancy grace and paula zahn from time to time when i have nothing to do.
and i didn't catch paula zahn last night, because i was crying my eyes out over the spurs. :( |

if you were the only one else in the parking lot he'd probably make sure you didn't call the cops by beating you up and taking your phone. |

Look at the situation. There were four people there, men, and this guy didnt have a gun. Even if you didnt know that he didnt have a gun, why beat someone to death with your bare hands if you could just shoot them?
These guys should have done something, and they didnt. They ignored that it was happening. This non-reaction is why people think they can get away with muggings and carjackings in broad daylight. If our society would show a little more "self-policing," this might not happen as often. |

ang: have you ever been in a situation similar to this? there have been many many studies on this and in general people just dont do because they are emotionally in shock or just dont care. more often than not its the shock. you have to experience it at least once to be able to do something otherwise your paralyzed. |

if you hurt the criminal, he can sue you.
if you hurt the victim while trying to protect him, he can sue you.
it's better just to phone the police and wait until the guy is about to die (during the attack), cus if you JUST watch the guy and he DOES die, you'll probably get sued by the family for JUST calling the police instead of running over the bad guy with your car. |

| Why take the risk? Better be a and be alive than being a dead idiot. I would've called the cops for sure, but kept my distance. Would love to help the old fellow but I watch out for number one first. |
