I've been doing a lot of re-evaluating lately of my career goals and what my next steps are. What are everyone else's aspirations?
I am realizing that although I know many of you and even what you studied/are studying at school, I don't know where you'd like to go.
So...spill. |

I'm going to university of waterloo, just finished second year in applied health studies. It's broad enough that I can go into multiple fields when I complete my four years, yet I can really narrow down and focus on certain fields in particular if I want to as well.
Currently I want to finish my four years and apply overseas at medical schools and come back and practise as a specialist. Don't really want to be a GP, want to specialize in something more.
If this doesnt work out for me, there are numerous other options in the Health field that I can look into.
But that's years from now...who knows what will happen really, right? |

just finished my 2nd year at ryerson for architectural science. in 3rd and 4th year im going to be specializing in architectural design. so yes, i want to become an architect.
after graduation i'm leaning in the direction of taking the 2 year masters program at ryerson. then after many other provincial tests and exams, i'll be licensed. so if anyone needs a house/condo building/club, im ur man. |

I want to get married and have babies.
I went to university whilst working so I have been at my career for 10 years now, the past 5 years have seen me earning a fairly substantial amount of dosh. I bought my first house at 20 and moved here on my own at 25.
Now I aspire to be a housewife.
So shoot me. |

| Nice! Sounds a little like my own situation, minus the house part (though if all goes according to plan I will most likely have one by the end of the year!) :)
At the moment I am focusing on my new job and hope to climb the ladder a bit eventually, but ultimately I plan to one day be running my own biz. It won't happen overnight, but it's my goal for sure!
p.s. - nothing wrong with wanting to stay home and have babies ;) |

I can do anything with my nursing degree. I'd like to dabble in all areas for a bit. Palliative care really interests me atm. I wouldn't mind doing med-surg, and I definitely want to do ER, and maybe the psych ward too.
I'd like to be a nursing instructor and mentor one day too. So many of my own have inspired me to do the same. :)
Who knows, maybe I'll open my own practice someday. |

I am in my 4th year of Interior Design, and I have a 6 month internship coming up which will be in either NYC or Toronto. I am specializing in restaurant and nightclub design. I plan on moving to another country that greatly differs in culture to work as a designer at some point...
If health care in Canada ever becomes privatized I would like to pursue healthcare design. |
