Has anyone done it?
I've been reading a bunch about it in recent months including things on psy. mushrooms, got a few books including "The Politics of Ecstasy" by Timothy Leary.
I'm wondering if any TA's have tried the stuff and could explain their trips and procedures?
And I in no way mean to abuse any of these substances for image purposes, strictly for spiritual and mind-expansion reasons.

| Do Acid with you best friends. You gotta have at least a couple of people doing it & on your same wave length. You will look onto "normal" or straight people at a higher plane of existence & your mind will open up to new possibilies to what is actually normal. Put on some Psy Trance, as you hearing will be enhanced. I recommend hallucinogen for when your flying & then shpongle for when you are frying. Go outside & experience the outside world, as your eyes will be enhanced. Ride the Trip & let loose. Once you are on the ride it goes for about six hours, so have fun. Stay clear of those negative people as they will bring you down. I do not recommend you take a trip if you have a depressive personality as the trip could enhance that personality & you could find yourself on a downward spiral. |

Nicely put. Especially the advise to got outside and experience things. Depending on the location, it can be a beautiful experience. |

i swear that is the only serious post i've seen xeno ever make in the entirety of my existence on TA. pretty good advice though. |

its fun, lots of giggles and lots of wow moments....
only problem with acid is that its suuuuuuuuch a long commitment. its like 13 hours of tripping..
the first hour is just waiting for it to hit
the second to the 9th hour is strong tripping
9th to 12 or 13 is a wierd feeling.. but not tripping
so im done with that bull :p |

There seems to be a lot of praise for this drug, but no one seems to mention the pitfalls either. Acid is more than just seeing pretty fractals and vivid visuals, it puts your mind into a completely different state. It's hard for me to articulate the kind of state you're in, I can only compare it to dreaming, although that's not exactly the same either. Through the times that I've done LSD, I've always had thoughts racing in my mind about a 100 mph. They go by so fast, that it is very difficult to hold onto one thought for long. You will question everything, and sometimes you will believe even the most absurd answers you come up with. The biggest problem with it is that it is unpredictable. You can have a wonderfully profound, amazing experience one time, and then a really terrible, nightmarish trip the next. Setting is important, and the people you hang around with while under the influence, is important as well.
It is often times difficult for me to find the right people to trip with, because most the people I know only drink or smoke weed. They have no experience with acid at all, and thus no understanding on how to treat a person who is tripping. More often than naught, these people will ridicule you and play jokes on you, not knowing the kind of bad feelings and vibes they are inflicting on you while tripping. And I don't know about you but I just become downright annoyed when people laugh and say such ignorant things as "Oh, did you see the pink elephants floating in the sky?" Keep these types of people away from you. Especially if your main reason for tripping is mind exploration rather than pure recreation.
In short, taking any psychedelic is a gamble. But you can reduce the chances of having a bad trip by planning ahead, staying in a positive mood, tripping in a good setting, and being around trusted friends. If you do happen to try acid, I strongly suggest you post your trip in the Crackhead Alliance. Inquiring minds want to know! |
