I could kinda understand people falling for that urban legend 15 years ago but today if you are not completely ing lazy you can research something like that in 15 seconds with Google. |

Agreed. LSD is the most researched drug according to erowid. The only downside to LSD in my opinion would be a flashback from a bad trip. I've done it 10 times, never had a flashback, so I don't even know if that's true, or if it's a rare case. |

Say what you will but I knew someone PERSONALLY who used to trip every weekend for a very long time. He was tested and put away for excessive use. Not joking.
Flashbacks can happen after using for a very long time and doing strenuous exercise for a long period of time, or just come to you at a random inconvenient moment. |

You cannot be "put away" simply for having used a lot of drugs at some point in the past. You get fed some nonsense and swallowed it whole. |

if he was "put away" it was probably due to his current state, not the fact that he did a bunch of drugs in the past.
granted, the fact that he did so many drugs may have led to his current state... but that certainly doesn't mean that if you do acid X number of times, you get sent away to the loony bin for life. |

Dunno...no one has seen him for years, and I doubt we ever will. He should be the poster child of what NOT to become. |

This sounds like a textbook urban legend. Did you know him personally?
That being said, LSD is a powerful drug has been shown to bring out or exaggerate underlying psychological disorders. If this "dude who was put away and never heard from again" really was put away it was due to mental problems which may or may not have been exaggerated by his drug use. But then again mental wack jobs should probably not be using any drugs other than those prescribed to them by a doctor. |

Yea I knew him personally but I wouldn't consider him a friend. He has done practically every drug known to man but his prefered was acid and weed. He never kept a job for very long, right before he was put away he was working for a car dealership. He was extremely paranoid, jumpy, and unable to form coherent sentences and every other word out of his mouth was YO! hahaha
It didn't help that his parents were very well off and gave him money for whatever he wanted. So he spoiled himself with all the drugs he could ever ask for. He wasn't on any prescribed medication that I know of. |

when most of the trip reports i hear and read these days speak of 6 hour trips at best, i think it's pretty much objective evidence that current underground LSD is quite impure, at least around where i am. :( |

impure LSD??? I've never encountered that... Just really weak and a waist of money.
What is it usually mixed with? |
