take the bus, clear the roads, and buses will run faster + more efficiently.

but it's so much nicer to drive around in a beamer :sadgreen:

You know what's better than complaining about gas prices? Taking public transit instead.

LOL, I got a little excited there.

I'm not hurting very badly in my Yaris.

So glad I went with an uber fuel-efficient little car. Best decision I ever made!

It's nothing to do with being a hippie so much as it's about people who complain and do nothing to change their situation. You don't in' like gas prices? Find an alternative to driving/buying gas. .

Nice haha, I wish I had enough money to invest in oil stocks a couple of years back.

As for high gas prices, we are still pretty low compared to europe and a lot of the world. Driving is a luxury, so if you drive a gas guzzler, suck it up and stop complaining.

You're still going to buy gas, so complaining about it will only get YOU heated up.

Yeah, while I don't like paying ~$60 a week for gas, I'm not complaining because:
a) I love my car
b) I love driving
c) In Sauga, no car = death
d) I'm saving myself ~2 hours each day by not taking the bus to/from work.

This is the real point of our gas prices. Canadians drive some of the biggest, most inefficient cars in the world, they then pay some of the lowest prices in the world, and then they complain about it when prices go up?

BTW - driving a hybrid is not all that great. The batteries in most electrically powered cars take so much energy to produce, you would have to drive your car for almost ten years (on the same battery, which will never happen) before the savings on gas consumption start to even out.

The best thing you can possibly do is get a car with a smaller engine, and forget about hydrogen, hybrids, or electricity for now.
