A full tank for my car costs me about 33 bucks on an average.

This is the real point of our gas prices. Canadians drive some of the biggest, most inefficient cars in the world, they then pay some of the lowest prices in the world, and then they complain about it when prices go up?

BTW - driving a hybrid is not all that great. The batteries in most electrically powered cars take so much energy to produce, you would have to drive your car for almost ten years (on the same battery, which will never happen) before the savings on gas consumption start to even out.

You are very correct in stating that because the other day on the news they compared a Hummer to a Hybrid and the Hummer over it's lifetime uses less energy overall. Something about the energy to make the batteries, their lifetime and disposal of them is what makes it worse then a Hybrid. Turns out the Hybrid is not so environmentally friendly.

$30 got me a full tank when I first starting driving (Sept/Oct of last year). Now it's about $40.

I have to put premium in my car and I never complain. You like driving your car, you gotta pay for gas.

I drive 40 mins to work... biking would take me 1.5 hours each way... can you imagine biking that long and sitting behind a computer all day long? I'd suffocate on my own stench

I bitch about how much I pay for gas, but it is my own damn fault with how many trips I make having to drive from Kitchener to Toronto.

If I would learn to just stay home a little more often, I wouldn't bitch about how much gas costs me in a month. :o

yeah i got rid of my car 3 years ago cuz my insurance was way too high and looks like it won't make any sense to get it back anytime soon :(

In other news, my energy fund is doing quite well. If it goes up to 2 beans by the end of the summer, I might just have enough for a new car. :p
