For the first time at an Avaland event we welcome the label boss of Kompakt, Germany's most influential techno label, Michael Mayer along with Brazilian Gui Boratto who has been getting worldwide recognition throughout the techno and minimal scene. Opening the main stage is LA's own Jeffrey Allen. In addition to everything we have going on for this Memorial Day, we also have a DJ set on the terrace by Ladytron's Reuben Wu & Mira Aroyo who just recently finished a tour with Nine Inch Nails in Europe as their opening act. People kept telling me to wait to see Mayer cuz he blows Baratto away, but I was so exhausted. Damn, I probably missed out. Dave Seaman was ok, but I wasn't like "wow" about his set. What was the remix of djuma soundsystem he played? Gui Boratto was the !!! I had to leave around 4am tho because of my 90 minute drive back. I was disappointed that Gui & Mayer were at the end. I thought they were gonna be playing first. I went there to see them and I only caught the first part of Gui Boratto's performance. Oh wellz.
