Just have two ear pierces on my left ear...
Who ever out there has a tongue pierce, can you tell me what are the stages of healing and what you experienced during the healing? Planning on getting one :)

Question yall: I've heard from friends that if you pierce your left ear, your a heterosexual, and if the right, your a homosexual... Is there any truth in that statement? |

I have heard that as well but it is just a bunch of bullares.
I have my right ear pierced numerous times and I am completely straight.
My view is that if you want it to mean you are gay than that's what it means. If you want it to be a reflection of self image than so be it. If you have it so that the weight isn't all on your left side so you don't walk arround with your head all lopsided than thats it.
It means whatever you want it to mean. |

they dont "do" anything.
subdermal (under the skin) and transdermal (partly below and above the skin) are a new type of modification that is not so common.. basically a piece of teflon or (far better) silicon jewelry is cast into a shape and put in between the layers of skin. some people still use metal jewelry but silicon is much better for long term degradation of tissue.
but yea, there is nothing specifically they "do". i will be getting two ridges in each arm, just because im so obsessed with being a cyborg and i like how they aesthetically would contribute to that along with my tats. |
