What is it that you don't like about foobar? (just curious..)
Personally, I'm not a fan of iTunes (and I don't have an iPod anyway) or the 'media library' type applications. I more or less have it all sorted on my hard drive, so I just pick from there. |

itunes is a pos and isnt even needed for ipods.
oh and the things i dont like about foobar:
too basic
not very intuitive interface
horrible media library code
mouse action from media library
thats it really...but i use it anyways. winamp now takes up 30MB of ram...too much. foobar when active takes 12 or so and 1.5 when minimized to tray. :) i removed winamp 3-4 months ago. |

I think its a nice alternative and i like the simplicity of its interface. |

| I tried using Wiamp and the time it's not busy crashing, it's doing something else wrong. I just use Windows media player, never had a problem with it. |

my order is Winamp (very easy to use) > Foobar2000(if you spend time customizing it, wow, it'll look ing awesome) > iTunes (able to organize music through folders as well as playlist)

there foobar looking pretty (and doing as UNintended and using more memory than all the other media players) |

The problem is the way Winamp/Foobar enters the filename of the tracks on my playlist. I am using torents now and i am downloading alot of albums.
I have them saved to My Music like this for example...
10 Years - 2005 - The Autumn Effect (Folder Title)
Then inside the folder i have the tracks laid out like this...
01 - Waking Up
02 - Fault Line
When i enqueue all the albums into Winamp/Foobar they come up like this...
0225. 10 Years - 2005 - The Autumn Effect - 01 - [The Autumn Effect #01] Waking Up
And sometimes it doesnt even bring up the artist or album it will just come up as '01 - Waking Up' etc etc
Some are even worse with all strange characters in them.
I want it to come up just as i have saved it in My Music. Is this possible?
Hope you understand that! |

ROFL your complaining about something that is EASILY changed. just find the area that talks about the playlist. then find the part where it has the %T or whatever type variables. you can have it show whatever you want.
foobar2000:
