that can be true in some cases, the songs aren't that horrible. I think for most people it's just the fact that the songs so popular.

I think Green Velvet - La La Land is a prime example of taking the $$$ and running. The song would be nothing without the sample , ppl are gonna like not because of the beats but because of the sample.

uh, yeah. it's a funny song. I wouldn't download it or anything, but I heard it in a car one time after hitting B's and it was the funniest ever. We were all singing along.

Well, a cheesy song in a while can be tolerated (as long as it's WELL made) but hey, what's the feelin in listenin for the first time to a brand new storming TRANCE tune you didn't heard of ? GREAT! :D

I don't think vocals are necessary for a song to be 'cheesy' except the non-vocal songs that are cheesy are usually so bad that they don't even get played on the radio (wow that must be bad) - one exception is ppk - resurrection (this is ok on a chillout cd I have but those bells/xylophone notes (whatever they are) just piss me off in the middle of a break).

PS. That ATC song isn't cheesy - those 'lalalalala's have deep emotional meanings to me.. :stongue:

Yes instrumental music can be cheesy.

And vocals are cheesy if they sound anything like the following :
Britney Spears, Aqua, Vengaboys, DMX, Pink, Eiffel65, Eminem, DBA (dont ask), Spice Girls...........
