yeah, it was a good PPV...Jardine getting upset was interesting and Karo looked good in his win too.
while I picked Chuck to win this rematch, I'm not surprised that Jackson beat him again. As for Jackson holding the title for a while, I dunno. He's beat some top talent and is a young guy, so it's possible.
although since his first win over Chuck, Jackson was brutally KO'd twice by Wanderlei Silva and Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua...both of whom are on board with UFC now. Shogun-Liddel for a shot at whoever holds the title after Jackson vs. Dan Henderson (which should be a great fight too).
The merging of Pride and UFC's talent pools is going to make for some great fights this year. |

His stand up is pretty weak, more of a ground and pound style..but the thing he has going for him is his strength, he's very big for his weight class and can just manhandle guys on the ground, definitely not a push over..but that being said, i still give the advantage to Franklin. I want Franklin to win so he can get his ass kicked by Silva again. :) |

im sorry but you sir are an idiot, fluke? not at all, Jackson is the perfect counter striker against Liddel. Liddel likes to keep his distance and punch from far away, Rampage likes to get in close and u up, up close. Rampage trained hard for this match and won because he worked HARD for it not because of a stupid fluke, if you watched the fight properly u would notice that Rampage almost knew what Liddel was going to do thats why he dodged that punch and came with a right hook, his trainer and training was perfect.
Im so glad Rampage won, he deserved it i hate Liddel he's a dumbass and has no character at least Rampage has more character and a more interesting story. |

after finally seeing the fight (thanks for that link AJ) Rampage owned Lidell all the way through.
Lidell strives on his strong stand up and heavy punches. Most fighters can't test Lidell's footwork and can never take him to the ground because Lidell sprawls like a mofo. Jackson was constantly moving, playing the angles and throwing jabs. Lidell simply could not match someone who could test his stand up skills. |

Not to mention Liddell had his ing guard down the entire match.... all I could do the entire fight was watch how dangerously open he left his right side open - then POP... done.
No fluke at all. |
